The Party in the Park event was a success!

In 2019 we faced a tough decision which ultimately led us to cancel our Booster Day activities due to uncertain weather. But when we cancelled the day's events we were excited to start planning for 2020. How could we have guessed the craziness that hit at the beginning of the year? Because of the restrictions in place due to COVID-19 we were unable to hold our regular event. We were determined to be back in 2021 and watched for updates from the state on what the restrictions would be come the third week of July.

As restrictions started to ease we knew that we couldn't move forward with our regular event, but we knew we wanted to try and do something. So the 2021 East Bethel Booster Days Party in the Park was born. By scaling back the event we were able to put together an event within our budget and also provide a gathering space for our friends and neighbors.

All of us on the Booster Days Volunteer Committee were so happy to be in the park on the afternoon of July 17th. As vendors started to arrive for set-up, my heart was filling with so much love for our wonderful community. We held our breath and crossed our fingers and waited to see if anyone would show up. We were not disappointed at all. The park was filled with music by Midwest Mayhem and the laughter and joy of neighbors. We would like to thank the Ham Lake Chamber of Commerce for their generous donation that helped make the 2021 event a success. Also, Emagine Theater for the donation of a date night prize pack that was awarded to the winners of our annual Medallion Hunt!

I also would like to thank our committee members for their work to make the Party in the Park happen. Scott Snider, Carrie Frost, and our City Council representatives Tim Harrington and Suzanne Erkel - thank you for everything you do to make the event shine!

In August, our committee met to start brainstorming the 2022 event. Some of the activities that were missed in 2021 will be back next summer!

If you would like to join us in the planning of this annual event we would love to have you! Please visit our Volunteer page for more information.

Our event cannot happen without the donation of time and financial support from community members and local businesses. If you are interested in donating to our event please visit our Sponsor Opportunities page.

Mark your calendars for the third week of July and we will see you at the park!
